Dr. Erica D. Caffey
Dr. Erica D. Caffey is a dedicated higher education professional and community advocate. She currently serves as Administrative Secretary for the Educational Leadership, Policy, and Law doctoral program at ÂÜÀòÊÓÆµâ€™s College of Education, where she provides academic support, student guidance, and program coordination. In this capacity, she draws upon her background in educational leadership, counseling theories, and research to strengthen program effectiveness and enhance the student experience.
Her recently published dissertation, “Factors Contributing to Low Completion Rates Among African American Single Mothers Pursuing Graduate Degrees: A Qualitative Phenomenological Study,†explores the unique barriers and systemic inequities faced by women navigating advanced education. The findings have not only shaped her personal commitment to this work but also inform her current leadership and coaching initiatives, which aim to create inclusive, transformational programming for adult learners and emerging leaders.
